We’re Playing at Family Visit Day 8/21

Cat-Bag

Someone let the cat out again! We’re playing this year at APL Family Visit Day on Tuesday, August 21rd from 3-5pm in the Kossi Center.

Stop on by for some cool jazz, refreshments, and a rest from this summer heat wave or afternoon storm. We’ll be playing 2 sets of jazz classics (and not so classics), everything from swing-to-funk and bop-to-blues, music by Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Dizzy Gilespie, Stan Getz, Lee Morgan, Duke Ellington, and many others. Just look for us where we play at the Winter Festival, or follow the cool grooves! Hope to see you there.

2017 Gig Annoucements

We have three (count ’em three) upcoming corporate-style gigs at APL on the calendar all ready this year. We’ll be playing next month at the Support Staff Luncheon, at the APL Family Visit Day in August, and at the APL Winter Reception in December. We’ll post more information on each gig as they get closer.

New Gig Day!

We’ll be returning to the APL Winter Reception this year to play a set of holiday jazz tunes. New tunes will include “What Child Is This?,” “I’ve Got My Love To Keep Me Warm,” “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?,” “A Marshmallow World,” and “My Favorite Things.” Plus we’ll play some “hits” from last year’s festival. Come on out for some great food and entertainment. We’ll be playing on the main stage in the upper dining area starting at 2:00pm.

Cat-Bag

The cat’s out of the bag! We’re playing this year at APL Family Day on August 3rd from 3-5pm in the Kossi Center.

Stop on by for some cool jazz, cool FREE ice cream, and a rest from this summer heat wave. We’ll be playing 2 sets of jazz classics (and not so classics), everything from swing-to-funk, bop-to-blues, funk-to-calypso, by Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Dizzy Gillespie, Duke Ellington, Herbie Hancock, Thelonius Monk, and many more. Just look for us where we played at the Holiday Festival, or follow the cool grooves! Hope to see you there.

New Gig Day!

Wreath

We’ll be playing a set of Holiday Jazz tunes for our friends and collegues at a private event on December 5th. Ever wonder what Frosty The Snowman sounds like as a Bossa-Nova? Or God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen as a 20 bar Swing tune? Then come on out, and have a cup of cheer! Yes, we’ll be doing that one too!
